Be it known that I, JAMES O. BROOKBANK, of Driftwood, in the county of Cameron and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain Improvementsin Devices for Cleaning Brushes and Combs, of which the following is a specification.
This invent-ion relates to a device for cleaning brushes and combs; and it consists in a handle or body of suitable form, provided at one end with a brush, and at the opposite end with thin curved fingers of metal or equiva' lent elastic material,adapted to enter between the teeth of the comb or the bristles of the brush.
In the accompanying drawing, the figure 1 represents a perspective view of my brush.
In the drawing, A represents the handle, which may be made of wood or other suitable material, either in the form shown or in any other form which will admit of its being con veniently manipulated. At one end the handle is provided with a brush, B, of bristles or like material, and at the opposite end it is Serial NO. 1771353. (No model.)

111 making use of the device the hooks are employed to loosen and remove as far as possible the hairs or other foreign matters, aft-er which the brush is employed to complete the cleansing operation.
Having thus described my inventiomwhat I claim is- The instrument for cleaning combs and brushes, consisting of the handle A, the bristles B. applied to one end of said handle, and the angular elastic teeth 0, secured to the opposite end, as described and shown.
