CHIMNEY-TOP.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 323,945, dated August 11, 1885.
Application filed June 4, 1885. (No model To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, DAVIS L. MOOAHAN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Baltimore, in the county of Baltimore and State of Maryland, have invented a new and useful Improvementin Ohin1neyProtectors, (and that the same has not been patented in any country,) of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to improvements in chimney-protectors, in which a fiat metal plate to cover the whole top of a chimney is used in conjunction with a sheet-metal hood; and the object of my improvement is to provide means to protect the tops of chimneys from rain, snow, 85c as also the flue inside of same. I attain this object by the arrangement illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 is a perspective view of my protector when placed in position on a chimney. Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the hood, and Fig. 3 is a similar view of the cap to which the hood is attached.
