BOUQUET-HOLDER.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 278,514, dated May 29, 1883. Application filed October 2, 1882. (No modeL) To all whoni'tt may concern Be it known that I, JULIA DARRAGH, a citi- -zen of the United States, residing at Newark,

in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented new'and useful Improve ments in Bouquet-Holders, of which the following is a specification. I

This invention relates to certain improvements upon that class of bouquet-holders which are provided with a pin or hook for attaching the same to a garment.

The invention consists in combining with the cup of a bouquet-holder having an attaching pin or hook, for connecting it with a gar- .ment, a pin carried by the holder and independent of the attaching-pin for entering an openingin the cup portiomso as to penetrate the butt or stem of the bouquet, and thereby retain the same within the cup.

IVh at I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

1. In combination with the cup of abouquetholder, havingperforations (one or more) in its body, and'an attaching-pin for fastening the cup upon a garment, a pin independent of the attaching-pin for penetrating the opening in the cup and the butt or stem of the bouquet for holding it within the cup, substantially as described. 2. The-combination, with the cup, the pin 13, and the additional pin b,of an elastic strap, 0, adapted to embrace the butt or stem of the bouquet which may be placed in the cup, substantially as shown and described.
