- F is a small ring secured to the free end of the string, to hold it by.
G G are bells secured to the wheel by U- shaped springs H H, inserted in the opening D. When the springs are placed in the opening their ends are compressed, and when released will spring outward and be held in place by pressing against the sides of the opening. It will thus be seen that the bellscan easily be removed, for the renewal of the string, 850., and replaced, and will be loose, so as to move freely as the wheel is operated.
