THREAD-CUTTER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 263,868, dated. September 5, 1882.
Application filed April 24, 188-2. (No model.) I
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, MARY E. DAVIS, a citizen of the United States of America, residing at White Cloud, in the county of Doniphan and State of Kansas, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Instruments for (jutting Thread while Sewing, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawings.

To use this device, hold the spool in theleft hand, between the thumb and forefinger, on which latter is the ring and cutter. YVith the right-hand forefinger and thumb hold the thread and draw it from the spool under the shield B and across the edge of the knifeblade, when it will be out.
I claim The ring A, having a thread-cutter blade placed in a line parallel to the edges of the ring and protected by a shield, substantially as and for the purpose described.
