Description
June 7, 1949. L. MAYER FORM FOR ELECTRIC WINDING COILS Filed Oct. 5, 1946 Patented June 7, 1949 UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE FORM FOR ELECTRIC WINDING COIL Leonard L. Mayer, New York, N. Y.
Application October 5, 1846, Serial No. 701,535
1 Claim.
The purpose of my invention is to provide a form for electric Winding coil which will remain rigid and will not sag or give When used in any operating electrical device.
Referrin to the drawings which illustrate my invention:
Figure 1 is a top plan view.
Figure 2 is a side elevation.
Figure 3 is a section taken on the line 33 of Fig. 2.
Figure 4 is a section taken on the line 4-4 of Fig. 3.
Figure 5 is a diagrammatic view of the winding of the core.
Referring specifically to the drawing:
The winding loop 1 comprises the outer winding I of electrical kraft paper with the glue 2' thereon, which adheres to the fibre board core 3. The binding loops 4 are the means of holding in place the ends of the fibre board core. The inner paper winding is shown at 5 and 5. The outer paper winding is shown at 6 and 6'.
The outer and inner winding over the fibre board may be wound straight \or vertically.
Although the drawings and specifications disclose the best method in which I have contemplated embodying my own invention of a form for electrical winding coil, I desire in no way to be limited to details of the disclosure, f or in the practical application of my invention, any changes in form may be made as circumstances require or as experience suggests without departing from the spirit of the invention within the broad scope of the appended claim.
What I claim as new and useful is:
A form for electrical winding coil consisting of an outer and inner winding of electrical kraft paper over a fibre board core, said winding being straight, adhering by means of glue substance, the ends of the fibre board core being bound securely by electrical kraft paper with a glue there- LEONARD L. MAYER.
