1 Claim. 1
The herein disclosed lnvention has for its object to provide a brush container for holding a toilet brush off the floor and out of slght.
Another object of my invention is to provide a container for a brush and means whereby the same is suspended from the rear of a toilet seat.
A further object of the inventlon 15 to provide a hanger fixedly connected to a toilet seat in combinatin with a container hooked to but quickly removable from the hanger.
Othe1' features and advantages Will become more readily apparent from the following description and the accompanylng illustrative drawin-gs in Which:
Figure 1 is a broken away rear elevational view of a toilet seat embracing my invention,
Figure 2 is a side elevational view thereof,
Figure 3 is an end view of a hanger member, and
Figure 4 is a perspective view of a container.
In the accompanying drawings as above enumerated. and in the following specification, the number III indicates my invention which consists of a. container for a toilet cleansing brush (not shown) which container comprises side Walls II and I2 terminating in an integral bridge I3, whi-ch extends from the upper edges I4 anal I5 of the arcuate upper portions I9 and I'I of said side walls. The container also includes end. walls I8 and I9, the former terminating in an eldnated channel 20 projecting somewhat upwardly from the said Wall I8, whieh channel is adapted to recelve the handle of the brush to be held. in the container.
For su.'9Porting the container I I aboVe the fioor, I provicle a hanger 2I having a horizontal end 22 with an aperture through which the holt 23 of hinge 24 of the toilet seat and cover projects and which end. is held to the holt by the nut 25. The vertical arm 26 of member 2I has its lower end f0rmed U-shaped as at 21 providing the spaced arms 28 and 29 between which the bridge I3 of member II is adapted to slidably seat. In order t-o secure members I I and 2I together I provide aligning bores 30 in the said arms 28 and 29, and. similar bares 3l in the horizontal portion 32 01 the bridge I3, and a pin 33 adapted to project through an aligning series of sald leeres to hold container II, to prevent 2iccldental displacement of the hanger when sweeping or cleaning around the toilet bow1 34.
As brushes, and sometimes pumps, must be kept near the toilet and as these artlcles are unsightly and. in the Way of sweeping my above describecl inventiou will not only keep them out of sight but out of the way of a broom when sweeping and save time in moving them about. It is obvious that a disinfectant and deoclorant may be kept in the container.
It is thought that persons skillecl in the art t0 which the invention relates Will be able to obtain a clear unclerstanding 0f the invention after considering the description in connection With the drawings. Therefore, a more lengthy description is regarded as unnecessary.
0 Number Changes in shape, size and rearrangement of details and parts such as come within the purview of the inVention claimed may be resorted to, in actual practice, if desired.
Hav1'ng now described my invention that which I claim as new and desire to procure by Letters Patent ist A deVice of the character deseribed compris- Ing a U-shaped hanger havlng attaching means 011 its upper end and spaced integral horizontally extending parallel supporting arme 011 its lower end, a brush holding container including a I0ail handle portion slidably am]. adjustably disposed between said spaced parallel supporting arme, means extending through sai=d bail handle and parallel arms for securing the same in adjusted position, and an inclined arcuate -brush handle supporting trough formed. on said brush holcling container extending laterally therefrom.
