VHaving thus described my invention, what I claim is new and desire to secureby Letters l. A disinfectant receptacle for garbage cans and the like comprising a perforated receptacle having-a cover hinged at one side and a catch for securing thesame at the opposite side, said cover having diametrically opposite edge recesses noi'- inal to a line connecting the hinge and catch, a

cover for the can, a hinge suspending the receptaclethrough one recess from beneath the can cover and a spring catch carried beneath the can cover to detachab'ly engage-the receptacle through the other recess.
