4 Claims. (Cl. 229-44) This invention relates to baby chick boxes, and together through the medium of the two downmore particularly to those that have a cover comwardly converging walls I! and [9, which latter posed of sections that can be opened and closed are integrally united at their lower edges, so that separately, so that the interior of the box can be the entire cover, comprising the two sections and divided into compartments, one or more of which the said partition wall, is formed from a single 5 can be opened without opening the others. It is also obvious that the tabs 33 serve to hold the cover sections in place, relatively to the openings 8 and 8, so that the latter are centered over the longitudinal partition, thus again insuring accuracy of position of all parts of the cover when the latter is closed.
What we claim as our invention is:
1. In a baby chick box, or box for other purposes, means forming bottom and side and end walls for the body of the box, and a folding cover construction comprising two upwardly opening cover sections, the overhanging edges of the cover sections having corner tabs flush with the said edges of the sections that are depressible downwardly away from each other, at each side of the box, to engage with their inner edges the outer surface of the side wall sections, holding the upper middle portion of the latter against outward displacement, with a space between the two depressed tabs at each side of the box.
2. A structure as specified in claim 1, the two cover sections being connected together by an integral double partition wall dividing the box into two compartments, one under each cover section, and the ends of which partition wall are held against the side walls by said tabs.
3. A structure as specified in claim 1, comprising a transverse partition having end portions projecting through the side walls, co-operating with said tabs to hold said cover sections in place, when in closed position.
4. A structure as specified in claim 1, comprising top walls having openings in the inner edges thereof, at the longitudinal center of the box, with a longitudinal partition extending under said openings, said cover sections having upstanding openings by said tabs, when the cover is closed.
