2 Claims.

This invention relates to certain novel improvements in price ticket clips and has for its principal object the provision of an improved construction of this character which will be high- 5 1y efiicient in use and economical in manufacture.

Among the many objects of this invention is the provision of a clip having the new and useful means for facilitating releasably attaching the same to the neck or cap or other portion of a bottle or other article in a manner such as will facilitate the supporting of a display ticket in the most desirable conspicuous position with reference to the goods or product with which it is associated.

A still further object of the invention is the provision of a holder of the character hereinafter described which may be placed upon the neck or cap of bottled goods or the like of various shapes, types and designs, with a ticket clip provided by the holder, located above the neck or cap in unobstructed view of an observer.

A still further object of the invention is the provision of a clip of the character hereinafter described having means for supporting a display ticket from a bottle or other like article with the clip having provision for connection With the display ticket in a manner such as will permit the display ticket to be expeditiously removed from or attached to the clip in display position with respect to the goods with which it is related.

Other objects will appear hereinafter.

The invention consists in the novel combina tion and arrangement of parts to be hereinafter described and claimed.

The invention will best be understood by reference to the accompanying drawing, showing the preferred form of construction and in which:

Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the price ticket clip embodying my invention showing the same associated with a bottle;

Fig. 2 is an elevational view of the same; and

Fig. 3 is a sectional detail view of the same taken substantially on line 33 of Fig. 2.

Referring particularly to the drawing the display ticket clip embodying my invention is indicated at [0 and is preferably formed from a piece of material to comprise an arcuate band portion II.

The ends of this band portion l I are provided with transversely extending fingers l2 to provide oppositely disposed clamping jaws i3 adapted to grasp the cap or neck 14 of a bottle l5.

The band H is preferably formed of resilient material such as will permit the band to be flexed 1935, Serial No. 11,082

to adapt itself to dispose the fingers l2 into clamping relation with the neck or cap of a bottle or the like.

The band portion l I is provided with oppositely disposed fingers l6 intermediate its end portions. These fingers l6 are preferably formed as an integral part of the band portion and provide a clip I! for receiving the extended portion IQ of a display or price ticket 20.

The device in use is applied to a bottle in the manner shown in Fig. 1 and in this position it is apparent from an observation of the drawing that the device supports for display contiguous with the bottle with which it is associated a price ticket or other display ticket such as is indicated at 20.

The structure of the device is such as permits economical manufacture and it is preferable that the device be made as an integral unit.

The shape of the clamping fingers l2 may be varied according to the design of the bottle with which it is to be associated and they may if it is desirable be made of such material as will facilitate manual bending to shape the clamping fingers to conform to the shape of the cap or neck or other portion of the bottle 15.

While I have illustrated and described the preferred form of construction for carrying my invention into effect, this is capable of variation and modification, without departing from the L spirit of the invention. I, therefore, do not Wish to be limited to the precise details of construction set forth, but desire to avail myself of such variations and modifications as come within the scope of the appended claims.

Having thus described my invention what I claim as new and desire to protect by Letters Patent is:

1. A holder for displaying a price card or the like upon, and directly above, the neck of a bottle or analogous container, said holder being formed from a single piece of flat metal stock and comprising a member including bifurcated end portions providing two pairs of oppositely disposed resilient clamping jaws and an intermediate portion extending between the said pairs of clamping jaws and when in use extending across the neck of a bottle or analogous container and directly above the latter, both of said pairs of clamping jaws lying in a plane normal to the plane of the said intermediate portion and when in use clampingly engaging the neck of a bottle or analogous container on opposite sides thereof, said holder including means formed on the said intermediate portion thereof for holding a price tion extending between the said pairs of clamping jaws and when in use extending across the neck of a bottle or analogous container and directly above the latter, both of said pairs of clamping jaws lying in a plane normal to the plane of the said intermediate portion and when in use clampingly engaging the neck of a bottle or analogous container on opposite sides thereof, said holder including means in the form of a pair of clamping jaws formed integrally there-with on the said intermediate portion thereof for holding a price card or the like thereon and in a position directly above the said neck of a bottle or 10 analogous container.
