A further object of the invention is the provision of a price-tag holder comprising a price card frame formed of aplate of sheet met-al having its edgesturned and spaced to Y' provide means to support a price card, said plate having cut out portions vforming tongues bent back on the plate, integral therewith and engaging thewire holding means adapted'to engage an article of merchandise to hold the price tag support on the article.
The invention will be described in detail hereinafter and will be found illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which` Figure l is a perspective view of one form of price tag holder showing it applied to an article of merchandise, y
Figure 2 is a top plan view of the price tag older removed from the article of merchan- ,Se J Y e v Figure 3 is a rear view of the holder frame for the price card, and Y Figures 4 and 5 are transverse sectional views on planes indicated by-lines. 4-4 and 5-5 of Figure 2. Y Y
In the drawings similar. reference characters are used to designate corresponding parts throughout the several views.
In the form of the invention showny in Figures 1 to 5, inclusive, the price tag holder comprises a frame l formed of asheetmetal plate 2, having itsV bottom edge foldedv as shown at 3, and its end edges folded as shown at 4:, to form spaced ianges to hold a price card 5 and to permit removal and replace- Yment thereof as desired. The body of they plate 2 has tongues 6, 7 'and 8 formed there- Y ,fromA by cutting the plate, vand the'tongues bent back on the rear side of the plate 2 to engage va length of wirel 9 that is adapted toy enclose an article yof merchandise such as indicated at A, the ends of the piece of wire 9 VVbeing overlapped as shown at 10 and 11 thus having means to hold a price card, tongues formed on the plate by incisions made therein', said tongues being folded on the plate,`the
` folds lof said tongues being in staggered relation, and a holding means adapted to engage an article of merchandise and secured to said plateunder said folded tongues.
1. A price tag holder, comprising a plate y V2. A price tag holder, comprising a plate of l sheet vmetal having its edgesfolded' thereon and spaced to provide a holder for a price card, Va holding` means secured to said plate consisting of a strand of wire adapted to engage an article of merchandise, said plate having tongues thereon formed by incisions f made in the plate, and said tongues folded to engage said wire, said tongues being folded` alternately in opposite directions and the folds of said tongues being in staggered relation.
3. A price tag holder, comprising a plate of sheet metal having its edges folded thereon and spaced to provide a holder for a price card, a holding means consisting of a strand of wire having anoffset crimped portion, said plate having tongues thereon formed by incisionsmade in the plate, said tongues being folded on said plate to engage said wire, one, of said tongues engaging said offset crimped portion, and other tongues engaging the Wire at each sideof said crimped portlon.
In testimony whereof I aiix my signature.
