Description

July 7, 1936. P. J. vlcT'oRlUs LADY S GARMENT Filed May 8, 1935 sA JM Y m. E TMWN c R V/ O. d. n @A CNL wf Y DMB For the purpose of causing the material to drape along pleasingl lines at the neck opening `32, a dress weight 46 is secured to the intermedi# ate portion l2 atV the front of said neck openingV 5 andV when the garment is worn, said weight will cause the material adjacent said neck openingto fold or drape inwardly. Y
As illustrated in Figs. 6 and 7, a skirt 48 may be secured Vto therjacketl. For this purpose,
10 the upper edge of the skirt at'the rear thereof may be provided with button holes 50 for en-` gagement vin'th buttons provided on the garment I0. The front of the skirt may have overlapping' portions 5| and 52 which are provided atV their VV upper edges with button holes 54 Vfor engagement with buttons provided on the jacket l0;
Thus, the skirt 48V may be worn with the jacket l0 to form a full length dress or gown or the jacket may be worn without the skirt, inaecord-'l ance with the wishes Aof the wearer.
Thus, it is seen that the garments hereinshownv and described are wellY adapted to accomplish y simulate the appearance of sleeves, it is unneces- 3Q sary to perform Vany cutting or stitching operations in order.. to Vform said sleeve portions. Other featuresY and advantages of the garments Y are also apparent. y
