Fig. 1 is a perspective view showing the preferred form of my invention.

In Fig. 4 I have shown another form of toe construction, that is, instead of looping the toe end back as in Fig. l, I place a sheet metal cap over the end to prevent the wire between the sole and the upper.
In Fig. 5 I show another modified form of toe in which I bend the tip upwardly and curve it backwardly.
In Fig. 6 I have sho-Wn the ends of the wire Welded at ll instead of using the sheet metal plate il) to hold the ends together.
