- The disclosure and prior art relates to paint devices and more particularly pertains to a new paint device for storing and selectively applying a liquid paint.
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a paint brush that may be manipulated. A bag is coupled to the paint brush and the bag contains a liquid paint. The bag is selectively opened to selectively release the liquid paint onto the paint brush.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a paint application assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is a front view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 3 is a left side view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 4 is a cross sectional view taken along line 4-4 ofFIG. 3 of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 5 is a back view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 6 is a top view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 7 is a top perspective view of an alternative embodiment of the disclosure. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 7 thereof, a new paint device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 7 , thepaint application assembly 10 generally comprises apaint brush 12 that may be manipulated. Thepaint brush 12 has ahandle 14 and ahead 16. A plurality ofbristles 18 is coupled to thehead 16 and each of thebristles 18 has adistal end 20 with respect to thehead 16. Thedistal end 20 corresponding to each of thebristles 18 frictionally engages asurface 22 when thepaint brush 12 is manipulated. Thesurface 22 may be a wall, a ceiling or any otherpaintable surface 22. Moreover, thepaint brush 12 may be a bristled paint brush, a sponge or any other paint application tool. - A
bag 24 is provided and thebag 24 is coupled to thepaint brush 12. Thebag 24 contains aliquid paint 26 of a selected color. The color corresponding to theliquid paint 26 may be printed on thebag 24 thereby facilitating the color to be identified. Thebag 24 is selectively opened to selectively release theliquid paint 26 onto thepaint brush 12. In this way theliquid paint 26 may be applied to thesurface 22. Theliquid paint 26 may be a latex paint, an oil based paint or any other form ofliquid paint 26. - The
bag 24 has afront end 28 and aback end 30 and theback end 30 is coupled to thepaint brush 12. Theback end 30 is aligned with an intersection of thehandle 14 and thehead 16 having thefront end 28 being aligned with thebristles 18. Moreover, thefront end 28 may be centrally positioned between thehead 16 and thedistal end 20 corresponding to each of thebristles 18. In analternative embodiment 31 as shown inFIG. 7 , thefront end 28 may be aligned with an intersection of thebristles 18 and thehead 16. - An
opening 32 extends through thebag 24 and theopening 32 is positioned closer to theback end 30 than thefront end 28. Theopening 32 has a boundingedge 34 and the boundingedge 34 is sealed thereby inhibiting theliquid paint 26 from exiting theopening 32. Thehandle 14 of thepaint brush 12 may be extended through theopening 32. In this way thebag 24 may be releasably retained on thepaint brush 12. - The
front end 28 is releasably closed to retain theliquid paint 26 within thebag 24. The releasable closure of thefront end 28 may be accomplished through heat sealing, an adhesive or any other means of releasable closure that accomplishes a fluid impermeable seal. In this way thebag 24 inhibits theliquid paint 26 from drying thereby facilitating long term storage of theliquid paint 26. - A
tab 36 is coupled to thefront end 28 of thebag 24 and thetab 36 may be manipulated. Thetab 36 opens thefront end 28 when thetab 36 is manipulated. In this way thefront end 28 selectively releases theliquid paint 26 onto thebristles 18. Thetab 36 may be centrally positioned on thefront end 28. Each of thepaint brush 12 and thebag 24 may be manufactured as a unitary structure and may be purchased as such. Thebag 24 may have a fluid capacity ranging between approximately 100.0 ml and 200.0 ml. - In use, the
tab 36 is manipulated to open thefront end 28 of thebag 24. Thebag 24 is compressed or otherwise manipulated to urge a selected amount of theliquid paint 26 onto thebristles 18. Thepaint brush 12 is manipulated to apply theliquid paint 26 onto thesurface 22. Thebag 24 is repeatedly manipulated to urge theliquid paint 26 onto thebristles 18. Each of thepaint brush 12 and thebag 24 are disposed of when theliquid paint 26 in thebag 24 is exhausted. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
