  • Not Applicable
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION (1) Field of the Invention (2) Description of Related Art Including Information Disclosed Under 37 CFR 1.97 and 1.98
  • The disclosure and prior art relates to paint devices and more particularly pertains to a new paint device for storing and selectively applying a liquid paint.
  • BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a paint brush that may be manipulated. A bag is coupled to the paint brush and the bag contains a liquid paint. The bag is selectively opened to selectively release the liquid paint onto the paint brush.
  • There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
  • The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING(S)
  • The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a paint application assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 2 is a front view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 3 is a left side view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 4 is a cross sectional view taken along line 4-4 of FIG. 3 of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 5 is a back view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 6 is a top view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 7 is a top perspective view of an alternative embodiment of the disclosure.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 7 thereof, a new paint device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.
  • As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 7, the paint application assembly 10 generally comprises a paint brush 12 that may be manipulated. The paint brush 12 has a handle 14 and a head 16. A plurality of bristles 18 is coupled to the head 16 and each of the bristles 18 has a distal end 20 with respect to the head 16. The distal end 20 corresponding to each of the bristles 18 frictionally engages a surface 22 when the paint brush 12 is manipulated. The surface 22 may be a wall, a ceiling or any other paintable surface 22. Moreover, the paint brush 12 may be a bristled paint brush, a sponge or any other paint application tool.
  • A bag 24 is provided and the bag 24 is coupled to the paint brush 12. The bag 24 contains a liquid paint 26 of a selected color. The color corresponding to the liquid paint 26 may be printed on the bag 24 thereby facilitating the color to be identified. The bag 24 is selectively opened to selectively release the liquid paint 26 onto the paint brush 12. In this way the liquid paint 26 may be applied to the surface 22. The liquid paint 26 may be a latex paint, an oil based paint or any other form of liquid paint 26.
  • The bag 24 has a front end 28 and a back end 30 and the back end 30 is coupled to the paint brush 12. The back end 30 is aligned with an intersection of the handle 14 and the head 16 having the front end 28 being aligned with the bristles 18. Moreover, the front end 28 may be centrally positioned between the head 16 and the distal end 20 corresponding to each of the bristles 18. In an alternative embodiment 31 as shown in FIG. 7, the front end 28 may be aligned with an intersection of the bristles 18 and the head 16.
  • An opening 32 extends through the bag 24 and the opening 32 is positioned closer to the back end 30 than the front end 28. The opening 32 has a bounding edge 34 and the bounding edge 34 is sealed thereby inhibiting the liquid paint 26 from exiting the opening 32. The handle 14 of the paint brush 12 may be extended through the opening 32. In this way the bag 24 may be releasably retained on the paint brush 12.
  • The front end 28 is releasably closed to retain the liquid paint 26 within the bag 24. The releasable closure of the front end 28 may be accomplished through heat sealing, an adhesive or any other means of releasable closure that accomplishes a fluid impermeable seal. In this way the bag 24 inhibits the liquid paint 26 from drying thereby facilitating long term storage of the liquid paint 26.
  • A tab 36 is coupled to the front end 28 of the bag 24 and the tab 36 may be manipulated. The tab 36 opens the front end 28 when the tab 36 is manipulated. In this way the front end 28 selectively releases the liquid paint 26 onto the bristles 18. The tab 36 may be centrally positioned on the front end 28. Each of the paint brush 12 and the bag 24 may be manufactured as a unitary structure and may be purchased as such. The bag 24 may have a fluid capacity ranging between approximately 100.0 ml and 200.0 ml.
  • In use, the tab 36 is manipulated to open the front end 28 of the bag 24. The bag 24 is compressed or otherwise manipulated to urge a selected amount of the liquid paint 26 onto the bristles 18. The paint brush 12 is manipulated to apply the liquid paint 26 onto the surface 22. The bag 24 is repeatedly manipulated to urge the liquid paint 26 onto the bristles 18. Each of the paint brush 12 and the bag 24 are disposed of when the liquid paint 26 in the bag 24 is exhausted.
  • With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
