As the tube coils or winds on the winding roller it is necessary to increase the space between the pressure and the winding roller and this is accomplished in my invention by utilizing a resillent mounting for the pressure roller, which mounting is illustrated as having the flexible shaft 25, which shaft can bend sufllciently to accommodate the increased thickness of the tube wound on the winding roller as the tube is increasingly collapsed.
A further feature of my invention comprises the employment of a combination cover and tooth brush support 32. This cover is illustrated as being constructed of a plate 33 hinged at 34 to the upper erd'of the back plate I2. The marginal edges 35 of the plate engage the upper edge of each of the arms I3 of the bracket, and the outer end 36 depends slightly below the winding roller, as indicated in Fig. 4. This cover plate is provided with a plurality of perforations 31 through which may be extended the handle 38 of a tooth brush designated at 39. The upper portion 40 of the brush engages the plate and holds the tooth brush upright with the brush above the plate and the handle extending downwardly parallel to the collapsible tube.
One of the features in forming the winding roller I 5 hollow and open at both ends is that this facilitates inspection as to the proper fitting of the end 3D of the collapsible tube when inserted through the slot or kerf 23 of this roller.
Another important feature of my invention is the use of a flexible axle or shaft 25 for the pressure roller and that this pressure roller has its bearing on the shaft at a central hub 28, thus allowing the shaft to flex while the pressure roller recedes from the roller due to the increased thickness of the collapsed tube on the winding roller. This affords a simple structure for developing a sufficient pressure to squeeze the contents out of the open end of the collapsible tube.
Various changes may be made in the details of construction without departing from the spirit or scope of the 'invention as dened by the appended claims.
I claim:
l. A paste dispenser comprising a supporting bracket, a winding roller and a pressure roller mounted parallel in said bracket, the winding roller having a longitudinal slot for insertion of the closed end of a collapsible tube, the opposite end of the tube having an opening, said rollers being positioned to suspend the tube with the opening downwardly, means to rotate the winding roller to collapse the tube between the two rollers and to wind the collapsed tube on the winding roller, the pressure roller having a flexible shaft, said shaft being adapted to bend to vary the spacing between the two rollers.
2. A paste dispenser comprising, in combination, a bracket having a pair of side arms with means for attaching said arms to a wall, a hollow winding roller journaled in said arms and having an enlarged knob for rotating said roller, said roller having a longitudinal slot for insertion of the closed end of a collapsible tube, a flexible shaft having its opposite ends mounted in the side arms, a pressure roller journaled on said shaft, the pressure and winding rollers being parallel and positioned to suspend a tube downwardly when collapsed between the two rollers, the said shaft being adapted to flex to increase the distance between the two rollers as the collapsed tube is wound on the winding roller.
3. A paste dispenser comprising, in combination, a supporting structure, a rotatable winding' roller journaled therein, said winding roller having a longitudinal slot for insertion of the closed end of a collapsible tube, a pressure roller having a flexible shaft, said shaft being mounted in the supporting structure substantially parallel to said winding roller, the said shaft being adapted to flex when a collapsed tube is wound on the winding roller.

A paste dispenser comprising, in combination, a supporting structure, a winding roller journaled therein, means to rotate said roller, a flexible shaft mounted in the supporting structure, a pressure roller journaled on said supporting structure, said rollers being parallel, means on one of said rollers to engage an end of a collapsible tube, the rotation of the winding roller winding the collapsible tube thereon, the said shaft flexing to increase the spacing between the two rollers.
5. A paste'dispenser as claimed in claim 4, the said pressure roller having a central hub, said hub being journaled on the said flexible shaft.

A paste dispenser comprising, in combination, a supporting structure, a tubular winding roller open at both ends journaled on said supporting structure, means at one end of said roller for rotating the same, said roller having a slot for insertion of the end of a collapsible tube, a pressure roller journaled on a flexible shaft, the ends of the shaft being mounted in the supporting structure, and the pressure roller being parallel to the winding roller, said shaft flexing and allowing displacement of the pressure roller from the winding roller when a tube is wound on the winding roller.

A paste dispenser as cla'med in claim 6, the ends of the flexible shaft being mounted in opposite sides of the supporting structure, the pressure roller being hollow except for a central hub, and said central hub engaging the center portion of the flexible shaft whereby said shhaft may be bent between the hub and its opposite "supported ends.

A paste dispenser comprising. .'n combination, a bracket having a pair of side arms, said arms being adapted to extend horizontally from a vertical wall, each of said arms having an cnlarged opening, a tubular winding roller journalcd in said openngs, said roller having a neck with a knob on the end for rotating the winding roller, said winding roller having a longitudinal slot between said arms for insertion of the end of a collapsible tube from the outside to the inside of the w'nding roller, said winding roller being open at both ends, a flexible shaft having its ends mounted in the side arms, and a hollow pressure roller having a central hub with the hub mounted on the central portion of the flexible shaft, said rollers being parallel and having their axes in the same horizontal plane, said flexible shaft being adapted to flex between the hub and its ends when the pressure roller is displaced from the winding roller due to increased thicknesses of the collapsible tube being coiled on the winding roller.
