ELKANAH D. RICHMOND, OF DETROIT, MICHIGAN, ASSIGNOR, BY MESNE ASSIGNMENTS, TO HIMSELF AND GEORGE W. HOFFMAN, OF SAME PLACE.
IMPROVEMENT IN REVOLVING ADVERTISING-CASES.
Specification forming part ofLetters Patent No. 188,954. dated March 27, 1877; application filed August 25, 1876.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, ELKANAHD.RIOHMOND, of Detroit, in the county of Wayne and State of Michigan, have invented a new and useful liar construction and arrangement of the case,
as more fully hereinafter set forth.
Figure 1 is a perspective view. Fig. 2 is a sectional side elevation.
In the drawing, A represents a base, from which rises a standard, a, on which the heads of a revolving hexagonal case, B, are journaled. Each of the sides of the case is divided into a series of inclined pockets, 12, adapted to receive and display the upper part of a bundle of railway-folders or other analogous advertising matter.
The band-moldin g B at the base of the case is rabbeted out at the back, opposite each face of said case, to form a pocket, 0, to receive cards.
In all general ticket-offices, as is well known to every traveler, will be found a great variety of such matter issued by various transportation-lines, which heretofore has been stored in separate receptacles for each of such lines. By employing this case all such advertising matter can be collected in one case, from which the folders of an y particular line can be selected with celerity.
What I claim as my invention is The revolving hexagonal case B, provided with a series of inwardlyinclined pockets, 1), on each side of the case, adapted to show the heads of folders placed therein, and the pockets 0, constructed and arranged substantially as described and shown, for the purposes set forth.
