This invention relates totoilet accessories, and more particularly to that type of those devices which may be carried around vin a ladys handbag ready for use when desired.

The objects of the invention are to provide a portable toilet accessory for liquid contents, and particularly perfume; to prevent the stopper of the container being knocked out or otherwise inadvertently withdrawn; to provide an appropriate enclosure for the stopper for retaining the same in place; to enclose the upper end of the container as well as the stopper; to enable the device to be conveniently opened when desired; to secure simplicity of construction and operation; and to obtain other advantages and results as may be brought out in the following description.

In the specific embodiment of the invention illustrated in said drawing, the reference numeral 1 indicates a container of desired shape and material. Preferably such container is a glass bottle of Hat nature with the bottom rounded, said bottle having a neck 2 opposite the rounded bottom and having a stopper 3 for closing the opening extending downwardly through said neck into the container. The upper end of said stopper is also preferably rounded on the same center of curvature as the bottom part of the container. The stopper is of a character such that it will prevent leakage of the contents of the container by merely pushing the stopper home in the neck. However, such a construction is unsafe to carry around loose in a handbag as the stopper is likely'to become dislodged whereupon the contents will spill.

My invention contemplates provision of means for retaining the stopper inplace in `"such manner as not to be inadvertently refmove'd andyet readily removed when desired.

In carrying out my invention, and with p articular reference to Figures 1, 2 and'3, there is provided an enclosure here shown as com- 5 prising a body portion of flattened character to substantially lit the side faces of the conf tainer, and of a substantially semi-circular configuration providing a curvedV wall 5 and a .diametric `upper open edge 6. The container y projects from thel open edge with the neck and stopper exposed.

Preferably Vthe upper part of the containe'r is not quite as wide as the lower part thereby aifording a grip for the tabs to engage to hold the body portion drawn tightly up to' its proper position. As a result, when 90 ever the cover is swung over the stopper, it p will not be stopped by the stopper but will pass over the top of the same for holding it.

The diametric edges of the cover are provided with tabs 16, 16 preferably at the center of curvature, these tabs havingpivot means co-operating with the pivot means on the container. 14: of the container. i The tabs are preferably resilient, pressing normally inward so as to retain the burrs in the indentations. By this means, the cover may be swung as desired but will remain upon the container under conditions of ordinaryT use.

Having thus described the invention, I claim 1. A toilet' accessory comprising a contain er having depressions therein, a cover. means pivoted to said container, said cover having resilient tabs and burrs, said burrs being resiliently held in said depressions by the re-V siliency of said tabs.

A toilet accessory comprising a container having an opening for receiving a stopper, a stopper in said opening, and a cover means -pivoted to said container, said cover means and container having cooperating recesses and burrs forming the pivot, and said cover Vadapted to be swung into a position overlying the stopper for holding the stopper seated in its opening.
