IMPFiOVEMENT IN BUCKLES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 188,53 l dated March 20, 1877; application filed February 3, 1877.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, BENJAMIN F. MELTON, of Gainesville, in the county of Cook and State of Texas, have invented a new and Improved Buckle, of which the following is a specification In the accompanying drawing, Figure 1 represents a front View of my improved buckle for hame-straps, breech-straps, &c., shown as applied to a strap; Fig. 2, a vertical longitudinal section of the same on line cc, Fig. l; and Fig. 3, an end view of the buckle.
Similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts.
The invention relates to a buckle for hamestrap's, breeching-straps, hopples, and other straps; and'it consists of a buckle with fixed loop extending at the under side from the lateral tongue-bar of 'the buckle.
In the drawing, A represents a buckle of the usual construction, which is provided at the lateral tongue bridge or bar B with a fixed loop, 0, that extends at the under side of the buckle to admit the passage of any v A buckle for harness and other straps, provided with a fixed loop extending from the tongue-bar at the under side of the buckle,
substantially in the manner and for the purpose set forth.
