The same letters and figures of reference are used to indicate the corresponding parts.
After describing the invention, its nature and extent will be shown in the claim.
The object of my invention is to furnish a buckle, which can be fastened without the necessity of sewing thesame to any garment upon which it'is used.
Figure l is a plan view. Figs. 2 and 3 are detail views.
A is the frame, which can be struck from av single piece of metal. levers,
B B are two parallel prongs, a a and b b. The levers B B are journalled in ears depending from the sides of the frame A. In the place of sewing the buckle to a garment the cloth is fastened to the prongs each of which is provided with two too weak for practical use, unless the buckle were made too heavy and bungling to serve the purpose intended.
My invention is an improvement on Letters Patent No. 177,133 issued to me on May 9,
1876, and I make no claim of any feature or element there shown.
Having now fully described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
As an improved article of manufacture the grooved buckle-frame A, provided with dependingears, into which are journaled 'two parallel grooved levers, each lever being provided with two grooved prongs, substantially as described, and for the purposes set forth.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing I have hereunto set my hand.
