This invention relates to an ironing board and particularly tosuch a board adapted to' be collapsed and stored in a small space,

5 iswell known, many modern apartments are quite small and itis desired to use the space to the greatest advantage. An ironing board which may be ordinarily disposed beneath the dinet table or kitchen table is therefore a great convenience. i
It is anobject of this invention, therefore, to provide a simple and eficient structure of ironing board which may readily be collapsed and stored in a small space such as.
a chamber, beneath arv table and `which may be easily and quickly withdrawn and arranged inoperative position. f
Y it' is a further object of the invention to provide such a board having a top member, aleg slidably connected thereto, a link or brace extending from said legto one end of the board, and supporting members connected to said link or;brace and arranged to cooperate with the sides of the recess in the table or other member to slide therein. It is'more specifically an object of the in- Y vention to provide an ironing board struc.- ture comprising'a table having a chamber beneath the top thereof with side walls, said walls having` slots therein with apocketat projecting therefrom movable in said slots and adapted to seat in said pockets, a member pivotally secured tothe outer ends of said bars and pivotally connected at one end to an ironing board top, said member being secured at its other and lower end adjacent the end to a supporting leg for said top slidably connected to said top whereby said struct-ure may be collapsed and stored Linder the tabletop or readily moved outward and arranged in operative position.

Referring to thedrawings, a table `10 is shown having a casing therebelow with side' Y members or walls 11, a bottom member 2 kand a rear end wall 13. Table l() and casing 11 are supported at one end of a strip or cleat ll secured to the wall 15 of the room, sind wall being illustrated as having a base board 16 and molding 17 at the bottom thereof adjacent the Vfloor 1S. Walls' 1l have legs 19 extending vertically ,at each side thereof :idjacent their outer ends whichy extend to and support the top of the'table. Small brackets or braces 2() `having curved outer surfaces are secured to the walls 11 and beneath the top ofthe table l1() which over-hangs walls 11. The casing having sidewalls 11 and botclosed by a door 21 connected by a hinge 22 to bottom member 12, said door having' a small knob or handle-21a at its outer side. A pair of bars E 3 are provided connected at their bottom side for a beneath the table. When the board is to be placed in operative position, door 21 will be opened and the end of board 29 pulled outwardly. An ironing board structure having in combination with a table having a recess therein, a member slidably connected to said table and movable in and out of said recess, a member pivotally connected to said first mentioned memberv and adapted to swing into alignment therewith, a board pivoted adjacent `one end of said last mentioned member, a leg pivotally and slidably connected to said board and of a length greater than the height of said table, and an operative connection between said leg and said second member, whereby to support said board in position. above the level vof said table. l
