IMPROVEMENT IN CUFF AND COLLAR BOXES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. I 80,650, dated August 1, 1876 application filed May 1, 1876.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ERNEST SOHEEL, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new and Improved Collar and Oufi' Box, of which the following is a specification In the accompanying drawing, Figure 1 represents a top view, and Fig. 2 a vertical longitudinal section on line a c, Fig. 1, of my improved collar and cuff box.

The object of my invention is to provide a neat and compact box for storing cufl's, collars, neck-ties, and other articles in a handy and convenient manner, the box being especially useful for traveling purposes and the invention consists of abox divided by a lateral partition into two sections or compartments, of which one is intended for the cuff, and provided with a central tubular post with sliding top, the other divided by horizontal supports into two parts for inserting a receptacle and storing the collars, neck-ties, and other articles, respectively.
In the drawing, A represents a box of oval, oblong, or other shape, with rounded ofi' corners, and finished in any suitable style. A hinged cover, B, with'handle, allows the opening and closing of the box. The box A is divided by a lateral partition, 0, into two sections or compartments, D, of which one is intended for the storing of the cuffs, the other for the collars. As the cnfis leave, when rolled up, a space in the center of the box, a hollow pillar, E, with sliding cover E, is arranged in the center of the emf-compartment, to be used for storing perfumery or any other article. As the collars take up less height than the cufis the space above the collars may be utilized by arranging a projection or shoulder, a, at the height of the collars, to support a sllding box, F, with hinged lid for the neckties, scarfs, and other articles. If desired, the collars may be stored in the box, and the neck-ties, &c., in the lower section, as found most convenient.
The box admits the neat storing and keeping of the cuffs, collars, and other articles, so as to be handy for use.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The box A, provided with a hinged cover, a partition, 0, a pillar, E, having a sliding cover, E, and a shoulder, a, to receive box F, all arranged substantially as and for the purpose specified.
