In the particular drawings selectedifor. more fully disclosing my inventlon the arms 10, 10 and the cross armyll formed integral with the sus ending hook 12'iconst'1tute a well-known i trousers hanger. Attached to and preferably formed integral with the upper portion of the arms 10 is a web 13 provided with two pairs of oppositely-disposed sockets 14, 14 and 15, 15 which sockets areformed in the present instance by punching1 out portions of the web at right angles to t e plane thereof and boring the same, the holes in the vertically disposed sockets 15, 15 preferably being circular and those of the horizontally disposed sockets 14 preferably being rectangu- J lar. v A hook 16 of resilient material comprising two reversely bent arms each terminating rei' j 1ir e rn yi a a.

spectively in the ends substantially at right angles to anrarm and preferably rectangular insection, is constructed and arranged to be secured in position to said flange by slightly compressing the same and then inserting t e ended? in th 1r co-operating sockets, whereupon the hook will be held in position by the gs. 1 arid 2, the hook is sei shown in Ri freditothe sockets 14, 14 substantially at right angles tothe plane or the web, and as illustrated'in Fig; 3, it is attached to the sockets I5, 15\ and lies substantially in the, plane. f-fweb forconvenience of shipment or packsupported by said lower arm would tend to tilt thd entire structure forwardly, said lower arm preferably-is inclined upwardly when below thehorizontal.
Having thus "described an illustrative emj-bodix'nent of ,m-yinvention without however having limited the same thereto, what I claim I and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:
web connecting said arms, said web being provided with a pair of oppositely-disposed sockets and a hook of resilient material detachof which it forms a part and each being shaped. to fit into one of said sockets whereby said hook is held by the elasticity thereof to said web substantially at right angles to the plane thereof.
2. A garment hanger comprising in combination a pair of angularly related arms, a
provided with a pair of oppositely-disposed sockets and a hook of resilient material detachably secured to said web, said hook having an upper and lower arm, said lower arm web connecting said arms, said web being being grooved transversely and each said arm terminating in an end substantially at right angles to the arm of which it forms a part and each being shaped to fit into one of said sockets whereby said hook is held by the elasticity thereof to said web substantially at right angles to the plane thereof.
3, A garment hanger comprising in combination a pair of angularly related arms, a web connecting said arms, said web being provided with a pair of oppositely-disposed rectangular sockets, and a hook having an upper and lower arm each terminating in an substantially at right angles to the arm of which it forms a part, said ends being rectangular in section and arranged to be received b said rectangular sockets whereby said hoo is held by the elasticity thereof to said web substantially at right angles of the plane thereof, said web being provided also with a pair of oppositely-disposed circular sockets arranged at right angles to said rectangular sockets, whereby said ends may be inserted in said circular sockets and said hook held to said web substantially in the I plane thereof.
In testimony whereof, I have hereunto sub-.
scribed my name this 14th day of April, 1930.
