IMPROVEMENT IN BOUQUET-HOLDERS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent 0. I80, I 70, dated July 25,1876; application filed June 19, 1876.
lo all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, GEORGE W. TUCKER, of Waterbury, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented an Improved Bouquet-Holder, of which the following is a specification: v
Bouquet-holders heretofore made have been of an ornamental character and only adapted to holding'flowers. The present invention is for rendering the bouquet-holder;useful for other purposes besides flowers, so that when employed for other purposes its usefulness as a bouquet-holder will not be lessened, and when there are not flowers to insert in such holder the same may be otherwise employed.
' I construct this bouquet-holder so that its.
base serves as a paper.-weight, and the metal that holds the water-vessel is extended so as or wire arm extends above the same fatheform of a. spring-ring, b, that receives the g'ass or other tapering vessel 0, for holding water, and the bouquet or separate flowers. Atthe front of the ring I) the metal is extended in the form' of spring card-holders d, that serve to receive and clamp the cards that may beinserted within them. The sheet-metal leaf ornaments, and th configuration of the weighted base, shown in the drawings, are similar to the patent of design heretofore granted to me fora cardholder.
I claim and desire to secure by Letters Patent The bouquet-holder havinga .ring, b, supported by the weighted base a, and extended in the form of metallic spring-clips, forreceiv-, ing and holding cards, substantially as set forth. Signed byme this 9th day of June, A. D.
