ANDREW B. SEARLES, OF PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND.

Specication forming part of Letters Patent No. 88,911, (lated April 13, 1869.
To all whom it may concern Beit known that I, ANDREW B. Similarletters of referenceindicate like parts in all the drawings.
The object ot' my invention is to produce a light, ornamental, and cheap table caster, which shall be Very strong and durable.
It consists in making a caster of twisted wire, and so uniting the various parts and by bracing with ornaments that I am enabled to make a strong and beautiful article at a very moderate cost.
To enable others skilled in the art to make my improved caster, I will describe the construction of the same.
A A A represent two wires, which form the handle, braces, and legs. B B B are the rings which hold the bottles. C C C are ornaments,
D is an ornawhich brace the rings and legs. ment, which braces the handle.
The parts A A A, which form the handle, e
braces, and legs, are rst twisted up ot' wire ofthe desired length, and the two are then bent by any suitable mechanical device into the form as shown in Fig. I, and secured by line Wire at d c.
The bottle-rings B B B are made of twisted wire and bent in circular shape. The rings are secured to the braces and the ornamental braces to the rings and legs and handle at e by ine wire or with narrow metal bands.
The ornamental braces G O C C and D are made also of twisted wire, and bent into form and bound with fine twisted wires at c c c, 85e., in Fi g. 4.
The whole is then dipped in molten metal, and thereby soldered and tinned at one operation.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as a new and improved article ot' manu# facture- A table-caster constructed of twisted wire, consisting of the handles, braces, legs, and feet A, rings B, and ornamental braces O, bound together with fine wire, and constructed as and for the purposes described and specified.
