IMPROVEMENT m PAIL AND TUB EARS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 180,164, dated July 25, 1876; application filed December 14, 1875.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, GEORGE W. STARK, of Arenac, in the county of Bay and State of Michigan, have in vented certain Improvements in Pail and Tub Ears, of which the following is a specification My invention consists in a bucket or pail ear, which will be hereinafter fully described," and particularly claimed.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a side view of the ear embodying my invention. Fig. 2 is a side view of the sections of the ear disconnected. Fig. 3 isa back view of one section.
A are the sections of the ear A, pivoted together by through-lugs F, one sectionof the ear having a thread cut to receive the screw B, while the opposite section has a small slot to receive the point of the screw B, but against which the body of the screw presses, and by which pressure the lower parts of the sections of the ear are firmly fastened to the pail; Whereas. by unscrewing the screw the ear is relieved from its hold on the pail, and can be taken off or removed to any other part of the pail, the object of removing it to any other part being, first, to avoid the wearing of the ID G.
