IMPROVEMENT IN WHEELS FOR TOYS.
Specification formingpart of Letters Patent No. 178,290, dated June 6, 1876; application filed April 26, 1876.
To all whom it may concern:
Be itlknown that I, GEORGE W. GoUGH, of East Hampton, in the county of Middlesex and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Improvement in Wheels for Toys; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description, and which said drawings constitute part of this specification, and represent, in
Figure 1, a side View, and in Fig. 2 an end view, showing-the transverse section of one wheel.
This invention relates to an improvement in wheels for that class of toys which are made to be trundled or rolled, the object being to produce a ringing noise by the trundling.
The invention consists in constructing the wheels in the form of bells, attached to the axle, so as to revolve when the toy is trundled, and with a ball or other device within the bell, so that the trundlin g of the toy produces a ringing sound from the wheels.
