STATES IMPROVEMENT IN NAPKIN-HOLDERS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 374,657, dated March 14, 1876; application filed February 7, 1876.
represents a front view of my improved holder with napkin or bib attached, and Fig. 2 a back view of my device, showing the springs or clamps for securing the napkin in place.
My device consists, as maybe seen from the drawings, of the arms E E, extending downward and outward from the points D 1) into F F, and turning inward at O C, forming the clamps C 0, through which the napkin o1 bib passes up to the spring B, by which it is firmly held, and of the book A by which the support or holder is fastened or hung to the collar or neck-band.
This improved holder for napkins or bibs can be made of rubber or any metal, or combination of metals, to suit the fancy of the manufacturer or the demand of the consumer. It may be made round, square, octagonal, of smooth surface, or chased.
It will thus be seen that while my holder can be manufactured plain, and at, small cost, it can also be made ornamental and expensive.
I claim as my invention and desire to secure by Letters Patent- The napkin or bib support described, consisting of the arms E F, hook A, and springs or clamps B G O, substantially as shown and set forth.
