The object of the invention is to provide i a sanitary container for toothpiclrs embodying certain new and novel features hereinafter more fully described, claimed and illustrated in the accompanying drawing.

As here embodied my improved sanitary container for toothpicks embodies a container 10 or receiver of transverse semicircular concave section which is provided with closed ends 11 and 12, and an enlarged lower 3o central element 13, or base extended therefrom longitudinally, as a means of providing a suitable support for the said container. The container 10 is open at the top thereof, and has hinged thereto as at 14, 15, 16 and 35 17 a pair of

A toothpick container ofthe class described embodying a 'container proper provided with a base element, a pair of covers hinged to the said container, said covers adapted to enclose the open top of the said container, and expansion springs as a means of normally holding the said covers in a` closed position.
