Push - bars or handles of the fixed type for perambulators are fixed at their lower ends 2 to the body and are given additional support towards their upper ends by brackets 7, each consisting of two parts hinged together and capable of being opened and of being closed around the stem 1 from opposite sides. Each of the bracket parts is provided with an attachment portion 4 adapted to be secured to the body, so as to hold the two parts of the bracket in engagement with the stem. In a modification, the hinge 8 is arranged at about the middle of the bracket.
