This invention relates to fillers for vanity cases, and more particularly to a filler used to control the egress of thc loose powder from the vanity case.

The primary object of the invention is to provide a filler wherein the parts can be easily and quickly assembled without the use of solder or extraneous fastening means, and more particularly to enable the parts to be assembled by a snap-like movement thereof thereby to hold the parts by frictional engagement.

In proceeding in accordance with the present invention, a felt ring 1 is employed which latter engages about the periphery of a cup-like or circular depression 2 formed in a metal disk 3, the cup having perforations vas indicated at 4 in its bottom. As shown in the drawings the circumferential wall of the cup is under-cut or has outwardly flaring inner and outer faces. A bottom ring 5 is employed which is formed to snap over the outer or peripheral face of the cup 2 while a rotor 6 having perforations 7 is employed and which has a bevelled peripheral edge to seat within and to be rotatably held by the inner circumferential flared face of the marginal wall of the cup. The rotor 6 has a linger engaging piece 8 which overlies the ring 3 and is further formed with a depressed teat 9 formed to engage in a curved channel or a depressed part l0 that is formed in the' bottom of the cup 2, so as to limit rotary movement of the rotor in bringing the openings 4; and 7 into and out of register.

In assembly and with the parts in the position of Figure 4, it will be noted that the felt ring 1 is first engaged with the disk 3 and the outwardly flared peripheral face of the marginal wall of the cup, following which the bottom ring 5 is snapped into position over said wall of the cup, thus clamping the felt ring between the disk 3 and the bottom ring 5, following which the rotor 1s snapped into position as shown in Flgure 3 and is rotatably held by the inner circumferential face of the marginal wall oi the cup. Thus the parts are easily and quickly connected and all extraneous fastening means eliminated.

Having thus described my invention what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is l. A filler for the loose powder in vanity cases, composed of a felt ring, a disk having an undercut central circular depressed and foraminated part, said felt ring being engaged about said depressed portion, a bottom rlng engaged over said depressed part to clamp the felt ring to the disk, said depressed part further having a curved depression hav ing end walls, a foraminated rotor in thel depressed part engaged with the undercut thereof and rotatably held thereby and havlng a teat extending into the curved depress1on and a finger engaging piece overlying the top of the disk.

A filler for the loose powder in vanity cases composed of a felt ring, a disk having` an undercut central circular depressed and foraminated part, said felt ring being engaged about said depressed portion, a bottom ring engaged over said depressed part to clamp the felt ring to the disk, and a foraminated `rotor in the depressed part engaged with the undercut thereof and rotatably held thereby.

A filler for the loose powder in vanity cases, composed of a felt or like ring, a disk having a foraminated cup-like center which latter extends through the opening of the rim, a bottom ring frictionally engaged over the cup periphery to clamp the felt ring against the disk, said cup having a circular outwardly ared inner face and a foraminated rotor rotatably held in the cup by engagement with said flared inner face.

A filler for the loose 'powder in vanity cases, composed of a felt or like ring, a disk having a foraminated cup-like center which latter extends through the opening of the I100 the bottom ring being held in place by the outer flared face, and a, foraminated rotor in the cu rotatably held therein by the inner Hared ace.

5. A ller for the loose powder in vanity cases, composed of a felt ring, a, disk having a. 'central cup-like forarrnated depression having an outwardly flared periphery, a, bottom rlng engaged with said periphery of the cup-like depression and a rotatable control 10 in the cup for the foraminations thereof.
