CIGARETTE HOLDER.

This invention relates to a cigaretteholder.

The novelty consists in that on the sleeve,

forming the cigarette-holder proper, i. e. de-

signed to hold the cigarette,-another sleeve is shiftably arranged so that it can be pulled as protecting tubeover the portion of the cigarette projecting from the holder and" over the glowing end of the same. 10 \Vhen the smoker wants to lay aside the ited cigarette, he shifts merely the proting tube over the the same such a distance that the lighted end is just covered. An embodiment of the invention is illustrated, by way of example, in theaccompanying drawing in which Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section showing the improved cigarette-holder.

1. 'A cigarette-holder,comprising in combination a sleeve forming the holder proper, a tubular mouth-piece shiftably mounted in said sleeve, a protecting tube shiftably mounted on tecting tube enclosing said protecting tube,

a centrally bored ooni'iecting piece, connecting said outer tube with said holder-tube, and means for extending said protecting tube for covering the cigarette.
