March To all whom it may concern Be it known that 1, HENRY W. CLARK, of Red Bluff, Tehama county, California, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Adjustable Sack-Holder, of which the following is a specification:

A is the stand, consisting of the bed B, to which is rigidly attached the upright (l. This upright has a slot, D. E E are cleats on the back of the upright, parallel to and ush with the sides ot' the slot. Fis an arm which is adjusta-ble on the upright by means oi' a series of holes, G, there being a tenou on the arm which passes through the slot and between the cleats, with a shoulder, H, on the inside. A pin, I, passes through the cleats on the outside and through the tenon, as seen in the drawing. J is a spiral spring on the upper side of the arm F. K is an arm constructed and made adjustable in a similar manner, the under side of which rests on the spiral spring J. L is a semicircular metallic spring, attachedto the arm K by the clip m. seen in Fig. l. N is a button pivoted to the top of the arm K, the end vof which pinches the bag and keeps it from slipping from the spring. The arms are adjusted to suit the length of the bag, and so that the bottom of the empty bag will nearly touch the bed. While the bag is being iled the weight will bear it down to the bed, while the spiral spring J will allow the bag to settle while being held open by the semicircular spring L. When the bag is lled it is readily detached after turning the betmaN. L "M This bag-holder is a great help to the miller, as well as to others handling grain in bags or sacks.

Having thus described lny invention, I claim ent- AD and severally-holed cleat E, of the springseparated arms F K, made adjustable as and for the purpose specified.
