An obj ect of this invention is to provide a portable toilet for infants that 'is small, neat, and quickly encased so that 1t canbe transported from place to place; and which can also be easily and quickly'removed from the case and made ready for use.
An object of the invention is to provide a portable toilet that lcan be arranged .for transportation so that it presents a pleasing appearance, and also so that the nature of the appliance is fully obscured.
Other objects, advantages and features of invention may appear from the accompanying drawing,.the subjoined detailed description and the appended claim.

Fig. 2 is an enlarged central longitudinal section through the casing enclosed appliance as it is arranged for transportation.
Fig. 3 is a front view of the appliance constructed in accordance withV this invention and showing the back in folded position.
Fig. 4 is an enlarged plan view of the appliance with the back unfolded.
Fig. 5 is a central longitudinal section on line m5, Figs. 3, 4 with the back in unfolded posi-tion and th-e appliance ready for use.k
Fig. 6 is a perspective view ofthe false drawer detached from the appliance.V
Fig. 7 is a perspective view of the appliance on a small scale showing the back in unfolded position and the false drawer partly removed.
The appliance comprises a base 1 to Vwhich is attached by any well known means a back wall 2 and side walls 8v; and the side walls 3 at their front edge are connected by a cross bar 4, so that a substantial front opening is provided that is normally closed by a false drawer 5., v Y
The false drawer 5 comprises a front plate 6 to which is secured the sides 7 which are secured together at their upper rear corners by a cross bar 8; and the drawer is prefer- Vably providedwith a finger grip 9 to facilitate removing it when desired.
Secured to the top of the back 2, side walls 3 and bar 4, is a toilet seat 10 that is provided with a centrally arranged opening 11 that is normally closed by the back rest 12 that is secured to the back wall 2 by the countersunk hinges 13 so that'when desired the back rest can be. removed to the open position shown in Figs. 4, 5 and 7.
Preferably the back rest 12 is slightly longer than the seat 10 so that an edge portion 14 extends over the front edge of seat 10 as shown 'in Fig. 2 so as to form a finger hold to facilitate moving the back rest to open position.
A stop 15 is vsecured to the back 2 for limiting the movement of the back rest 12 from closed to open position; and preferably the top edge of the stop 15 is beveled as at 16 so as to permit the back rest 12 to incline away from the seat 10 and out of alinement with the back wall 2 so as to form a comfortable back rest and seat.
By the foregoing construction and arrangement of parts an appliance is provided with a compartment 17 into which can be yinserted a usual toilet receptacle 18 that can be placed in or removed from the appliance 'removing and reinserting the false drawer 5.
rlhe appliance may be made conveniently portable by a casing 19 as illustrated in Figs. 1 and 2 that can be formed of any desired material such as imitation leather that can be constructed into a -neat sightly casing as shown so that when the appliance is enclosed therein it will be completely obscured and a handle 20 is suitably attached rto a top or cover 21.
