RAISIN-DRYING TRAY.
Application filed September 24, 1921. Serial No. 503,031.
My invention relates to a tray for drying raisins and the objects of my invention are: first, to provide a tray for dryin.r raisins which may be placed on the grounc so that the raisins may rest on the ground and so that drafts of air will not get at the raisins from below; second, to provide a tray of this class in which the supports are composed of wire so that moisture will not gather thereon; third, to provide a tray for drying raisins which is very efficient; fourth, to provide anovelly constructed raisin drying tray and fifth, to provide a t-ray of this classwhich is very durable. i
W ith thesel and other objects in view as will appear hereinafter ,my invent-ion consists of certain novel features of construction, combination and arrangement of parts and portions as will bev hereinafter described in detail and particularly'set forth in the appended claims, reference being had to the accompanying drawings and to the` characters of reference thereon which form a part of this application in which:

Similar characters of reference refer to similar parts and portions throughout the several views of the drawings. Y The side members 1, upper end members 2, lower end members 3 and wires t and 5 constitute the principal parts and portions of my raisin drying tray.y
The side members 1 are preferably comosed of wood or metal about three-quarters of an inch by one and one-half inches in cross section and the end members 2 are similar members about three-quarters of an inch by two inches in cross section and the corners are mortised so, that the upper and lower edges of the frame formed by thermembers l and 2 are flush. Secured against the members 2 on the lower sides are the end members 3 which are approximately the same size as the members 2 and each of these members 8 is provided with a series of perforations therein in which the end of the wires t are inserted, the wires e being bent at a right angle at each end and inserted in the perforations so that when the members 3 are secured relatively to the members 2 the wires 4: are set held securely in position as Yshown best in Fig. 2. In order to further support the wires t there are provided a plurality of cross connecting wires 5 which are secured on the lower sides of the members 1 at their ends and interwoven with the cross wires t for holding the wires t in certain relation to each other and reinforcing the same between their ends. It is It is obvious that with this constructionl there is provided a raisin drying tray A.in which the raisin supports are composed of fine wire so that moisture will not gather thereon; that the end members 3 may be imbeddedin the ground and sand so thatthe wires will rest on the sand utilizing the heat of the earth as well as the sun for drying the raisins and that no air or draft will blow up under the same; the wires are galvanizedy so they will not rust and are not therefore subject to early decay. n Y

1. A raisin drying tray, including a rectangular mortised flush frame, a plurality of wires secured on the lower side thereof, and end members secured over and engaging the ends of said wire at the ends only of said tray. v
2. A raisin drying tray, including a rectangularl mortised flush frame, a plurality of'wires provided with right angled outwardly extending ends extending across the same, and separate cleats secured against the lower side of said frame at opposite ends only of said frame provided with depressions for receiving the right angled outwardly extending ends on said wires for supportingsaid wires. v
