Be it knownl that I, J. W. . The'oliject ot' the invention is to sare material, and to avoid the turning out of the cuff at one edge after the same has been run together.

In the ordinary method ot' making cuffs, more particularlyI false culis, the fabrickis cut in the desired shape, andy of as many thicknesses as desired, two ot' these thicknesses being thefront and back, andthe remaining one or ones the` interlin'ing.'v4 These pieces are placed together,v wrong-side out, and run orcoa-rsely stitched together around three of theed ges, then turned right-side out through the' open orv u nstitched edge, called the closing edge.
