IMPROVEMENT IN BOXES'FOR PACKING TEASELS.

Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. l 53,635, dated July 28, 1874; application led July 16, 1874.

To all whom it may concern:

Bc it known that I, HENRY THURLOW, of Skaneateles, Onondaga county and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Teasel-Boxes; and I do hereby declare that the following is full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings and to the letters of reference marked thereon, which form part of this specication.

The nature of my invention consists in the construction and arrangement of a box for packing' teasels for transportation, as Will be hereinafter more fully set forth.

In the accompanying drawing, Figure lis a front elevation of my packing-box, and Fig. 2 is a transverse vertical section of the same through the line a' Fig. l.

A represents a rectangular frame of any suitable dimensions, strengthened by means of diagonal bars or braces B B at the corners, as shown in Fig. 2. rlwo of these frames are used in the construct-ion of my packing-boxone at each end-and to each frame is fastened the end piece C by screws or otherwise. D represents the bottom, also fastened to the frames A A. The front and back of` the box are composed of sections E E, arranged horizontally, and fastened to the frames A A, the

bottom sections being also fastened to the bottom D. The top G is, like the bottom and end pieces, made in one piece, and fastened to the frames by screws or otherwise.

This box may be manufactured cheaply, and is strong and durable, and well adapted for the purpose for which it is intended.

I am aware that it is not new to brace boxes in the manner set forth, and therefore I shall lay no claim to any particular feature of the box.

Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

As a new article of manufacture, a box for packing teasels, consisting of the frames A A, with corner-braces B B, solid bottom D, end pieces C C, and top G, and sectional front and back, said sections being secured by screws, so as to be easily detachable, all as herein set forth.
