By Way of explanation, it may loe eieteci that the inverted ill-shaped. of iic'egiriike forms which are used. in the making oi ,concl'ete floors, generally ere noileil to the supports which carry the forms. The result is that skilled; laibor is required to place anti displace the forms, and that, notwithstanding the exercise of skill, the forms are bent, distorieci encl iemaged when they are do iached from the supports or transportation to another job.
In View of the foregoing, this invention aims to provide a floor form which can be placed by unskilled labor and without millng, novel means being provided for sup porting the form members, and for interlocking them. i
It is Wiilllifi the province 01. the ciisclosure to improve generally and to enhance the utility of devices of that type to which the invention zippcrteiiie,
Although preferred forms have been shown, a mechanic, Working within the-scope of What is chimed, may make elieretions Without departing from the spirit of the invention.
' loo inserted iii'iifi the oppceicc end 3 of am In the accompanying cimwingsz lfifigwire' Lshowe in seciion, e concrete floor, sopporteii by clevices constructed in accordance with the invention; Figure 2 is ii. iongituc'iinci section showing eeveiei forms intec looked; Figure 3 is perspeci/ive showing a, plurelity of iniefiocixeii forms, poms be ing broken away; Figure is a perspective showing one of ijlic terminai forms; Figiiye 5 is a, transverse section showing the form cai-iied by its supports.
Iii Figures 1, 2 and 3, there is shown inverted iroughehepmi metal form 1 ccmprising a, top 2 and (iepencliiig sides il, ilio sides 3 being bent upon ciiemscivee to foiim ouizsi oiling double wall flanges i am; "cpend Wings 5, the flanges {i cool the win being cut away as at 6, cc one cod '5" o the form, so iho' c the em} 7 oi oiie folio mm at emi of the ocijoining iioi'm, as (lisioeeci in Figures and 3, iiie' drop 5 3 of each :focm Eceiiig provided Wlili'l iongituciiiiel slits 9 forming tongues 10, and. notches 1]., the noicii in. one form Facing colepteiiio receive the ioiigce 19 of an ecljoinmc; form, iii-iii the izonguee ii} being oveo ioppcc on each oiiicr os SiIQEWl cost at 12 in Figure E2.
In practice} operation, the wings 5 engage the inner oi the supports 1%, shown in-Figure l, and the flanges; rest on. the supports, the forms time being iieid in piece Without iioiiiiig, no skilled labor being; re-
quirecl in asseiiilvling U1 hiking down che forms, and the forms beingcuinjieci to no partiouim (iemage, as is the cese when the forms 1 are nailed. to the supports 14:.
The 0nd forms of each iine be cone strucfeci shown in Figure 4, the cop peering at 15, the sides at" 16, the Wings :1 17 and the flanges at 18 In ihe inner enci of the top of the form, the elite and the tongue 20 are fosliionec'i.
