Be it known that I, ORIN WV. Bnrr'r, a' citizen of the United States, residing at Empo-ria,-in the county of Lyon and State of Kansas, have invented'cert'ain new and use ful Improvements in Fenceire Splicing and Stretching Tools, of which the'following is a specification.

This invention relates to a fence wire splicing and stretching tool and has for its principal object to provide a device which will efficiently and easily splice or stretch the wire strands of a. fence.

Another important object of the invention is to provide a fence wire splicing and stretching tool of the above-mentioned character, which is of such a. constructionas to enable the same to be readily taken apart when notused for the purposes of permitting the same to be easily carried and furthermore can be readily assembled for use whenever necessary.

A still further object of the invention is to provide a fence wire stretching and splicing tool which will enable the broken. ends of astrand of Wire to be readily jointed and thereby enable the, strand of wire to then assume its former condition.

Another important object of the invention is to provide a device of the class described which is simple in construction, inexpensive, strong, durable and further well adapted for the purposes for which it is designated.

Other objects and advantages of this invention will become apparent during the course of the following description.

From the foregoing description of the construction of my improved apparatus, it will be seen that I have provided a simple, inexpensive and efiicient means for carrying out the objects of the invention, and while I have particularly described the elements best adapted to perform the functions set forth, it is obvious that various changes in form proportion and in the minor details of construction may be resorted to, without departing from the spirit or sacrificing any of the principles of the invention.
