IMPROVEMENT IN Renee-roes.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 149,7S0, dated April 14,1374; application filed March 2l, 1874.
Figure l is a side elevation, and Fig. 2 ak horizontal section, through a common coal-oil or kerosene lamp lamp-chimney provided with my reflector.
A represents a chimney, such as used in `kerosene-lamps and for gas-burners. B B B are three funnelformed or truncated parabolic reflectors, joined at their apexes by braces b or otherwise, and having projecting from their tops three elastic fingers, C C C", adapted, when the compound reflector is in position, to press lightly around and thus grasp the said chimney, so as to hold the said compound re Hector in its exact and proper place.
The reflectors may be arranged, one or more of them, to project the rays either horizontally, as shown, or at any other upward or downward angle or angles desired. They may also be of greater numbers and corresponding directions, up to ten, for which I reserve the right to make the subject of one or more separate applications for patent. Y
I claim herein as nen7 and of my invention- The combination of the three truncated, parabolic, or conical reflectors, B B B, joined together at their apexes, and having springs C C C, supporting` thein adjustably at any height, all as herein shown and described.
