Be it known that I, ELLswoR'rH MGGIB- noN, a citizen of the-United States, residing at Spokane, in Spokane county and State of Nashin ton, have invented certain new and useful which the following is a specification.

y present invention relates to improvetype of receptacles made of leather, cloth, or other suitable material and designed for practical and convenient use for carrying coms, bills etc. The 4primar object of the invention is the provision o a compactly arranged book or combination of compartments which may be securely closed for safety against loss therefrom of valuables and in which the partsare conveniently arranged in order that they may be readily accessible when required. The invention consists essentially in the combination and arrangement of a plurality of foldable compartments or pouches of special construction whereb bills or bank notes may be enclosed and safe y retained and when desired may with facility and convenience be extracted from their container or pouch in regular and orderly manner. By the utilization of the features of my invention coin pockets are also provided in the pocket book 1n which coins may be retained with safety and from which they may be taken with. oo nvenience when required.

lin the accompanying drawings ll' have illustrated one complete example of the physical embodiment of my invention wherem the parts are combined and arranged according to the best mode l have thus far de-v vised for the practicalapplication of the principles of my invention, and it will be understood that changes and alterations may be made therein, within the scope of my clalms, without departing from the spirit of my invention.

.lin the preferred form of the invention as shown in the drawing the receptacle may be made of leather, cloth, imitation material, or other material that may be tolded'with convenience and is of sucient durability for the purpose. The pocket book is divided into three main divisions, as l for a card.

case, 2 for coin pockets, and 3 for a bill pouch, of which the card case has a transparent panel 4 to permit inspection ot an identification card, or other data on cards inserted therein. At its open end the card case is provided with a dap 5 to which the |socket member 6 of a fastening device, similar to a glove fastener, is fixed, and at 7 a bend or fold is provided between the card case and the coin compartment 2.

'The intermediate division 2 of the pocket bookis fashioned at each side thereof with an open-end coin pocket as 8 and 9, the open ends Vbeing provided at opposite ends of the pockets and closed by the foldable divisions l and 3 of the pocket book against loss of coin therefrom.- The pocket 9 has a flap or closure 10 that is an attached part of the division 3, which, when'the pocket book is folded and closed lies under the Hap 5 which is the outer Hap of the book, as in Figure 1, and alsoras shown in Figure 5. @n the outer face of the second or inner Hap l0 is fixed the stud or head ll (shown on the inner side of flap l0 in Fi 5) and it will be apparent that the tolde pockets may be secured by snapping the socket 6 down over the head' or stud 1l.

'llhe socket 12 on the inner face of the `flap 10 is designed to snap open end of this coin pocket as shown in over the head l3`of. the coin pocket 9 .and close the otherwise ers 6-11 and 12-13 secure the pocket book in folded, closed and fiat ure 1.

The division 3 when the book is opendas in Figuren, is desi ed for the reception of a stack-of folded bills or bank notes, as shown in Figure 3, and is joined to the intermeposition as in Fig- .seen in Fig diate section or division 2 bythe bend 14. At what may be termed the inner side of the bill fold are two end flaps and 16 foldin toward the.' longitudinal center of the bi fold over the ends of the stack S resting against the wall or partition 17` which may form a part of or be secured to the bend 14. The wall 17 is fashioned with a longitudinal, central slot 18, and a centrally located opening of circular formation as 19, for. access of the fingers when extracting a bill or note. At the opposite or outer side of the wall 17 are a pair of end fla s 20 and 21, also folding toward the centra opening or longitudina center of the wall 17, for retaining the stack of bills as S in Figure 3. The stack of bills is placed in position within the fold first openin out the flaps 15 and 16, thenI s "pping the en S of the stack through, the slot 18, pressing down on the stackl and finally closing the two flaps 15 and 16 over the .free end of the stack. The second unfolding action may be accomplished after the snap fastener 23-24 has been opened thus permitting the bill fold' to be turned back .to position of Figure 4. In this posi tion additional bills may be placed in the bill fold, or coin may be 'extracted from the pocket 8, which has been opened by 1mfastening may also be opened by unfastening the snap fastener 11-12 and turning back the Hap 10. From the above descrlption, taken in connection with my drawings it will be apparent that the pocket book so constructed is a convenient and accessible receptacle for the several yarticles designed to be carried therein, and .provides a secure and compact device for performin yits required functlons. Having thus fully escribed my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by d Letters Patent is- 1. The combination 1n a foldable pocket book`comprisinga card case having an end flap, an mte'rmediate coin pocket, and an 'end bill-fold, an inner closure-flap on the bill` fold and fastening means for securing' said end flap and ner closure-flap, fastening meanson sald inner closure-flap and intermediate coin pocket, and fastening means between said bill fold and an intermediate coin pocket.

2. The combination in a foldable pocket book comprising a card pocket having an end flap, an intermediate section having ockets at opposite sides, and an end inner closure flap on the -bill fold and fasten-F ing means for securing said end flap .and lnner closure-flap, fastening means on said inner closure` iiap and one com pocket, a reytaining flap for the bill-fold, and fastening turn or the snap fastener.
