Be it known that i, AmnnrGAnnAoL/i, a.
citizen of Poland, residing at last Hain- Vmond, inthe county of Lake'and State of Indiana, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Wrenches, of `which the Yfollowing is a specification.
This invention relates to certain Anew and useful improvements in wrenches and has particular' reference to the provision of an improved format sliding adjustment wrench wherein the inner jaw is slidablymounted upon the rigid shank of an outer jaw.
Y An object of the invention is tolprovide efficient means for obtaining quick adjustment of the inner sliding jaw and for maintzrining such jaw in its adjusted position.
Another object is to generally simplify an improved sliding' jaw wrench whereby the same may meet with all of the' requirements for a successful commerciali use.
Still another object of the invention is to provide a removable and reversible double slidable inner jaw with means for maintaining the same-in adjusted position upon the shank of a rigid outer aw when either face of the inner jaw is presented to the surface of the outer jaw.
With lthe above general objects in view and others that will appear as the nature of the invention is better understood, the same consists in the novel construction, combinavtion and arrangement of the parts hereinafter morerfullv described,illustrated in the accompanying drawings, and polnted out 1n the appended claim.

The pins 21 slidably extend through suitable openings in the edges of the jaw 19, so that they may engage in the sockets 20, and for convenience in inanipulation` as well as tofpermit making of the Ystructure as little' cumbersome as possible7 the levers 22 are disposed at an oblique 'angle't'o Ythe longitudinal axis of the shank v5 so as to lie with their inner ends iii-a plane to one side of said'axis of the shank as seen in Figure 2. ln other words, this permit-s the inner ends of the levers 22 to move inwardly toward each other past the elges of the shank 5 when the levers 22 are swung to disengage the pins 21 thereof from the socket 20.
