AMELIA CORYELL, OF DENVER, COLORADO.
TOILET-ARTICLE CASE.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, AMELIA CORYELL, a citizen of the United States, residing at Denver, in the county of Denver and State of Colorado, have invented new and useful Improvements in Toilet-Article Cases, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a combination toilet article and the principal object of the invention is to provide a case containing a set of manicuring articles which are pivotally mounted therein so that the articles may be used without detaching them from the case.
Another object of the invention is to provide means for detachably mounting a pair of scissors in said case so that the scissors may be detached from the case when desired.
This invention also consists in certain other features of construction and in the combination and arrangement of the several parts, to be hereinafter fully described, illustrated in the accompanying drawings and specifically pointed out in the appended claims.
In describing my invention in detail, ref erence will be had to the accompanying drawings wherein like characters denote like or corresponding parts throughout the several views, and in which Figure 1 is a view of the case in folded condition.
Figure 2 is a view with the case in open condition.
Figure 3 is a view of the scissors.
In these views A indicates the case which is formed of the two portions 1 and a which are hinged together as at 3. l indicates a fastener for holding the case in closed condition. At one end of one part of the case is a small stud 5 which is adapted to be engaged by a hook 6 on one of the handle portions of the scissors 7 so that said scissors are hingedly mounted in the case and may be detached therefrom by raising the hook off the stud. The other handle part of the scis- Specification of Letters Patent. Patented J 9 20, 1922,

sors is formed of two portions hinged together at 8 so that this handle part may be folded so that the scissors may lie within the case. A file 9, a knife 10 and the tweezers 11 are also pivotally mounted in the case so that they may be swung outwardly when they are to be used. When not in use they are swung inwardly so as to lie within the case and will be enclosed by said case when the same is in closed position.
It will thus be seen that all of the articles are attached to the case so that there is no danger of mislaying the articles after use, and the entire device may be carried about without the articles cutting the pocket-book or vanity case or becoming entangled with other articles therein.
It is thought from the foregoing description that the advantages and novel features of my invention will be readily apparent.
I desire it to be understood that I may make changes in the construction and in the combination and arrangement of the several parts, provided that such changes fall with-- in the scope of the appended claims.
What I claim is 1. A device of the class described comprisin a foldable case, a pair of scissors one handle of which is hingedly and detachably connected with said case, the other handle part of said scissors being formed of two portions hinged together.
9.. A device of the class described comprising a foldable case, a set of manicuring instruments having the ends of their handle portions pivotally connected with said case and a pair of scissors having a hook at the end of one of the handle portions, a stud in said case for engagin said hook, the other handle portion of the scissors being formed of two sections which are hinged together and means for holding the case in closed condition.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature.
AMELIA CORYELL.
