IMPROVEMENT IN BRACKETS FOR SHELVING. l

To all whom 'it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOE V. MEIGs, of Lowell, Massachusetts, have invented certain Improvements in Brackets for Shelving, of which the following is a specification The objects of my invention are so to construct brackets for the support of shelving that lthey may readily be applied to or removed from walls or other supports, to render the shelves adjustable, and to detach the movable part of the bracket from its xed portion without detaching the latter from the wall; to which ends my improvement consists in combining a ixed bracket provided with guides and a detent-rack with a movable bracket carrying a pawl, which takes into the rack to hold the bracket in any 4desired position.
In the accompanying drawings, Figure l shows a view in perspective of my improved bracket; Fig. 2, a similar view, showing a portion of a shelf; and Fig. 3, a similar view of the adjustable portion of the bracket.

I claim- The combination of a bracket-strip having notches, guides, and a detent-rack, and a movable bracket having a pawl and claspingjaws, these members being constructed and operating in combination, substantially as set forth.
