To aZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ARTHUR J. GooHRAN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Columbus, in the county of Bartholomew and State of Indiana,'have invented a new and useful Dauber, Polisher, &c., of which the following is a specification.
The object of my invention is to produce cheaply an efficient article for the reception, holding andrmanipulati-on of a polishing or daubing member, the article being particularly useful as a shoe polisher or dauber, a window cleaner, furnitureduster, etc.
The accompanying drawings illustrate my invention. Figure' 1 is a perspective View of the article .With the. cloth element omitted; Fig. 2 a similar View showing the cloth in position. i r
In the drawings, 10 indicates a main body which may be conveniently formed of wood, hard rubber, etc., said main body being formed to provide a support 11, two: flanking pockets 12 and 13, a retaining shoulder 14, and a retaining shoulder 15. Secured to the supporting surface 11 is aflstrip offiexible material 16, which is preferably not only flexible but slightly longitudinally compressible, the most convenient material probably being scrap leather.
The piece 16 is so secured upon the surface 11 that its inner end will projectacross pocket 12 and will lie closely adjacent shoulder 15,: while its opposite end projects to Letters Paten Patented July 19, 1921.
1920. Serial No. 387,921.
i any desired extent in the forward end of the main body 10.

The cloth may be now drawn forwardly over member 16 and the outer end of this member flexed and the end of the cloth drawn backwardly and tucked into pocket 13, where it will be firmly retained. Any scrap cloth may be readily applied in the manner stated, andfthe a-rti-- tongue andretained thereon between the tongue and shoulders, substantially as described; r r c In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand at Indianapolislndiana, this 7th day of June, A.
