IMPROVEMENT IN COTTON-BALE TIES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 138,481, dated May 6, 1873; application. filed April 28, 1873.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, FREDERIO COOK, of
New Orleans, State of Louisiana, have invented certain Improvements in Bale-Ties, of which the following is a specification:
The nature of my invention consists of the bale-tie, as shown on the drawing, having a loop, A, so constructed that it can be slipped into the looped end of the band B, and securely held in its position square with the band B without riveting, and forms a loop ready to receive the hook G at the other end of the band.
Referring to the drawing, Figure l is a perspective view. Fig. 2 shows the loop A laid flat before being bent into a loop, and shows the shape the iron must be cut. Fig. 3 shows the portion of loop A with an addition of the 'hook D; if made in this way the hook C can and described.
