IMPROVEMENT IN PIN-HINGES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 138,418, dated April 29, 1873; application flied September 21, 1872.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that we, ABRAHAM LYONS and.
ISAAC B. ABRAHAMS, of New York, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented a new and valuable Improvement in Brooch-Pin Hinges; and we do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the construction and operation of the same, reference being had to the annexed drawing making a part of this specification, and to the letters and figures of reference marked thereon.
Figure 1 of the drawing is a representation of the pin-post. Fig. 2 is a view of the same, showing pin attached. Fig. 3 is a sectional view of the same. Fig. 4 is a side view, and Fig. 5 is a bottom view, of the brooch.
This invention has relation to brooch-pin hinges; and it consists in forming the hingepivot by bending over a projection on the end of the hinge-post, substantially as hereinafter more fully described.
Referring to the drawing, A represents the brooch; B, the hinge-post, having a threaded shank so that it may be secured to the brooch.
