This invention relatesto wardrobe trunks,

particularly to attachments therefor, and hask for its 'object the provisionfof means associated with the drawers thereof whereby a drawer pulled out may be held in such pulled out position and be prevented from dropping down so that placing of articles into or removal thereof from a drawer may be readily effected.

It is well known that in wardrobe trunks the drawers when pulled out to a slight extent will drop down, especially when full and it is with this defect in view that the present invention has been designed. My invention contemplates providing means for supporting each drawer even though it be pulled out to its maximum extent, my de-` vice facilitating the packing and unpacking of the drawers.

- Another object is the provision of a drawer supporting structure of this characterincluding slidably .connected drawers, one of which is rigidly secured at each side of the trunk and the other of which is detachably connected with each side of the drawer.

An additional object is the provision of a structure of this character which will be simple and inexpensive in manufacture, which may be installed without making any alterations whatever in the construction of the trunk or drawer, which will be highly efficient in use, durable in service, and a general improvement in the art.

With the above and other objects and advantages in view, the invention consists in the details of construction to be hereinafter more fully described and claimed and illustrated in the accompanying drawings o in whichy Figure 1 is a front elevation of a wardrobe trunk in open position,

In ordinary conditions the drawers B are slidably mounted between the sides A. but there is no provision for holding the drawers in suspended position while they are being packed or emptied.

In carrying out my Yinvention I provide y a plate 10 which is secured within the trunk body at each side of the drawers therein and which is formed with a longitudinal cut out portion 11 and which is also provided above and below this cut out portion with longitudinal slots 12 and 13. lThese plates are slidably secured in position by means of bolts 14 and 15 which are disposed within the slots 12 and 13, respectively. By this means it will be seen that the plates 10 maybe so disposed as to lie within the Aconfines of the sides of the trunk or to former of which is engageable within the slot 18 and the latter ofwhich is engageable within the slot 19 and it will be readily observedv that this connection permits the drawer to'be moved from association with the plates 16 when desired.

From the foregoing description and study of the drawings it willbeapparent that I have thus provided a simply constructed and inexpensive drawer supporting structure which linvolves `no alterations in the trunk construction Vitself but vin `which the sliding members are located within the usual spaces 1 between the sides of k the drawers and the trunk body, Athe device being furthermore, easy to use, and very eiicient in service. n n While I have shown and described the preferred embodiment of -my invention, Vit is of course to be understood that 1 ;reserve theirightto make such changes inthe form7 construction7 and arrangement of parts `as will notdepart from thespir-Kit of thein-V vention or the scope of thesubjoined claim.
