ladapted to be worn upon the finger, in the usual way, and provided with a. photo receiving recess and a transparent cover for the same whereby the photograph of a loved one, or of a political or other'rcelebrity, may be worn upon the hand.

This body portion is enlarged at 6 to form a fiat channeled portion 7 havmg the overhanging walls 8 along three side-s, the fourth side of said channel being open at 9, so that a picture may be slipped thereinto, when the lidor cover lOvis in open position. This lid or cover comprises a rectangular framework 11, which carries a glass panel 12. I provide a latch 15 that is secured to the frame 11, at 16, by solderingor otherwise. This latch has a beveled nose 17 that is adapted to snap past a beveled projection 18 at one side of the channeled portion 7, to hold the lid in closed position. This construction provides an exceptionally tight joint and one that will be quite ornamental.
It is to be understood that the invention is not limited to the precise construction set `forth but that itincludes within its purview whatever changes fairly come within either the terms or the spirit of the appended claims.
Having described my invention, what I claim is:
1. A device of the character described comprising a finger embracing band' having an enlarged' top portion, channels along three of its sides and open at the fourth side. a cover comprising a rectangular frame, a glass panel carried by saidxfra'me, means'for hinging said frame to the said channeled of the lid and the body of the ring.
2. A device of the character described comprising a finger embracing body portion, channels to form a picture'receiving recess member and a detent between the free edge A with overhanging walls along three of its sides and open at the fourth side, a frame comprising a rectangular member, a transparent panel carried by said rectangular member,'a rib upon the rectangular member closing the fourth side of the channel portion, when the lid is closed and a beveled'detent latch .cpperating with the overhanging wall to hold the lid in closed position and means for hinging the lid to the body portion at the side remote from .said detent.
