Application filed September 27, 1919. Serial No. 326,857.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, RUTH B. OPPEN- na e, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of the city of New Rochelle, county of Westchester, and State of New York, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Combined Brassieres and Chemises, of which the following is a specification.
The object of my invention is to provide an undergarment which will take the place heretofore occupied by two garments when bloomer are worn and be light and comfortable, economical and durable. This object is accomplished by my invention, one embodiment of which is hereinafter more particularly set forth.
For a more particular description of, my invention, reference is to be had to the accompanying drawings, in which:
Figure 1 shows the backof my improved garment.
Fig. 2 shows the front of the top of the same.
Fig. 3 shows the means for securing the parts together at the top of the back.
Throughout the various views of the drawings, similar referencecharacters designate similar parts.
The garment 1 consists of a brassiere 2 at the top and a chemise 3 at the bottom. The
former has straps 4 which may be made adjustable and scams 5 which may be unfinished so that the garment 1 may be sold Having thus described my invention, what I claimis:
A. combined under garment which consists of a brassiere with arm straps, a back opening and a bottom seam and a chemise secured to said brassiere by said seam.
