To all whom it may concern:

Be it known thatI, TI-IoMAs'H. E. HATE- AWAY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Combined Cabinets and Tables, of which the following is a specification.

The invention has reference to a combined cabinet and table for useby campers and the like, the aim being to provide a device for containing provisions andcookingand eating utensils, which may be conveniently transported from place to place, as upon the running board of an automobile, and'which is capable of removal therefrom. and of being set up for use at any desired place. The obj ect'of the invention thus generally stated, together with other and ancillary advantages, may beattained by the construction and arrangement illustrated in the accompanying drawings, forming part hereof, in which Figure 1 is a front elevation of the device secured in position upon the running board of an automobile for transportation; Fig. 2 is a fragmentary side ele- 'vation, showing the-deviceset up for use. Fig. 3 is a fragmentary end elevation of the device as set up for use. Fig. 4 is a vertical sectional view taken on the line 4-4 of Fig. 3. Fig. 5 is a vertical sectional view taken on the line 5.-5 of Fig. 4. Fig. 6 is a fragmentaryperspective view showing a modified construction for the case or cabinet. vThe device comprises, generally, a case or .cabinet 1, atable 2, and a supporting member 3, forthe table, one end of which is adaptedto be supported by the cabinet and the other end of which is adapted to be supported by one or more supporting legs 4.

It will be seen that I have produced an outfit of a practical character forcampers. When the table and cabinet are associated, in condition for transportation, the device is very compact and neat in appearance. When it is desired to set up the device for use as a combined container and table, this may be done at any desired place independ- 'ently of an automobile or, other special means of support, and when so set up is rigidly held againstcollapsing. Moreover, the tablemay be readily supported at a convenient height from the ground. If it is desired to provide a container which is adapted to more efi'ectively protect provisions against contamination by changes in weather conditions, this may be accomplished by making the cabinet 1 (Fig. with a double wall 25 so as to provide an air space 26 around the cabinet.

A campers cabinet comprising, in combination, a casing open at its ,upperend, a table comprising a plurality of leaves hinged together so as to be capable ofbeing folded either into a compact stack or in extended relation, one end leaf being connected to the upper edge of one side Wall of the case and adapted when the leaves are in compact rela tion to close the upper end of the case and also serve as a support 'for the remaining leaves, and means cooperating with the case to support the leaves of the table in extended relation, said means including an'arm connected with the case at the upper end thereof and having an extensible supporting leg at its free end, the casebeing made of. substantial height and also having legs for supporting it in elevated position,wherebysaid case together with said table leg will support the table ata substantial distance above the ground;
